HOLD^DAX

The broader breakout structure remains intact above the prior-week high and the 20-hour, 50-hour, 50-day, and 200-day averages. The retreat from the opening high and elevated daily RSI increase pullback risk, but the existing stop at 26180 already protects a gain and provides an appropriate exit if intraday weakness extends.

HOLDEURUSD

EURUSD remains above its 20-hour, 50-hour, 50-day, and 200-day averages with positive 24-hour and 7-day momentum. The existing stop keeps downside tightly bounded; nearby prior-week resistance and upcoming USD data favor retaining the position without adding exposure or changing its parameters.

HOLD^DAX

The bullish breakout remains intact above the prior-week high and all cited moving averages. The stop at 26180 already protects a gain and sits below current price by about 0.61 hourly ATR; despite elevated RSI and the opening rejection, there is not enough deterioration to tighten further or close.

HOLDEURUSD

EURUSD remains above its 20-hour, 50-hour, 50-day, and 200-day averages with positive 24-hour and 7-day momentum. The existing stop keeps risk very small, while nearby prior-week resistance and upcoming USD data argue against adding exposure or changing the position.

UPDATE^DAX

Raise the stop from 25940 to 26180 to protect part of the open gain. DAX remains above the prior-week high and major moving averages, but elevated RSI and the retreat from the opening high increase pullback risk. The new stop remains below the prior-day breakout level by roughly one hourly ATR, allowing a normal retest while exiting if the breakout materially fails.

HOLDEURUSD

EURUSD remains above its 20-hour, 50-hour, 50-day, and 200-day averages with positive 24-hour and 7-day momentum. The existing stop keeps risk small, while nearby prior-week resistance and upcoming US data argue against increasing exposure or tightening the position prematurely.

HOLD^DAX

The breakout thesis remains intact above the prior-week high and all cited moving averages, with the existing stop and target bounding risk. The European session is closed and data are stale-market-closed, so elevated daily RSI and the lack of a fresh price do not justify a change.

HOLDEURUSD

EURUSD remains above its 20-hour, 50-hour, 50-day, and 200-day averages with positive 24-hour and 7-day momentum, while lower US yields support the long thesis. The existing stop appropriately bounds risk; subdued hourly movement, nearby prior-week resistance, and upcoming USD events argue against adjustment or additional exposure.

HOLD^DAX

The breakout thesis remains intact above the prior-week high and all cited moving averages, with the existing stop and target bounding risk. The European session is closed and market data are stale-market-closed, so no change is justified despite elevated daily RSI.

HOLDEURUSD

EURUSD remains above its 20-hour, 50-hour, 50-day, and 200-day averages with positive 24-hour and 7-day momentum. Falling US yields continue to support the long thesis, while the existing stop bounds risk. Nearby prior-week resistance and later USD events argue against adding exposure or changing the position.

HOLD^DAX

The bullish breakout remains intact above the prior-week high and the 20-hour, 50-hour, 50-day, and 200-day averages. The existing stop and target keep risk bounded. Because the European session is closed, data are stale-market-closed, and daily RSI is above 70, no position change is justified.

HOLDEURUSD

EURUSD remains above all cited short- and long-term averages with positive 1-hour, 24-hour, and 7-day returns, while falling US yields support the long thesis. The existing stop bounds downside. Prior-week resistance and upcoming USD events argue against adding exposure or tightening the stop prematurely.

HOLD^DAX

Premise intact, no invalidation fired, and the one thing that tested the trade resolved in its favour. Live 26135.81 vs entry 26159.75 = -23.89 USD, -0.17R, inside a single 1h ATR (101.31). My named structural invalidation was an hourly close below 26090 — the 10:00Z candle wicked to 26082.43, briefly through that line, then closed 26165.09 on its own high, the strongest close of the session. A wick bought back is the gap-and-hold behaviour I underwrote, not the gap-and-fill that would kill it; the prior-day high at 26096.93 was defended intraday, not lost. Structure untouched: price above 1h SMA20 (25933), 1h SMA50 (25669), 1d SMA50 (25043), 1d SMA200 (24409), and clear of last week's high 25891.51. Regime conditions hold — VIX 15.62 and falling, nowhere near the 17 I named; 10Y 4.686, no rates shock. The relative-strength ranking behind taking DAX over CAC has widened, not reversed: DAX +0.67% on 24h holding above its prior-day high, CAC flat on 24h and back under its own (8642.32), so the wrong-horse invalidation is unfired. Honest marks against: the position has never traded above entry, session change -0.21%, and 1d RSI 67.74 means I am long an extended move — which is why size is 0.9 units, risk 0.14% of capital, and the horizon tactical. I decline to tighten: at -0.17R there is no gain to protect, and 26000 sits below the 26082.43 session low where the trade is genuinely wrong; anything inside 26080 sits within one hourly range of spot. Stop 26000 and target 26500 (1.05x 1d ATR from entry, above today's 26266.50 high) unchanged. Decision point is the 13:32Z US reopen and JOLTS at 14:00Z: an hourly close below 26090 after that, or ^SPX gapping under 7504.78, closes this rather than waiting for the stop. No second position — ^CAC is the same factor and the weaker leg, EURUSD sits on its means with 1h RSI 51.69, GBPUSD is inside the 4h cooldown from the 09:05Z stop-out.

OPEN^DAX

Flat since the GBPUSD short was closed at 09:05Z, so this is a fresh engagement, not an adjustment. Eligibility this slot is narrow: ^NDQ and ^SPX are session-closed and stale, ^VIX and 10YUSY.B are indicator-only, CL.F/XAUUSD/USDJPY are flagged non-tradable. That leaves ^CAC, ^DAX, EURUSD and GBPUSD. EURUSD has no edge — 1h RSI 46.02, price 1.1511 pinned between its 1h SMA20 (1.15121) and SMA50 (1.15195), a 5-pip prior-day range. GBPUSD I stopped myself out of an hour ago and the recommended 4h per-symbol cooldown applies; shorting it again into a tape that has just reclaimed its 1h SMA20 would be revenge, and buying it against a 1d RSI of 39.64 has no basis. Between the two European indices I take one, not both, because they are the same EUR-equity factor and stacking them concentrates rather than diversifies. DAX wins on relative strength: 26157 sits 60 points above its prior-day high of 26096.93 and is +0.57% on 24h, while CAC at 8620 has fallen back under its prior-day high of 8642.32 and is -0.01% on 24h, meaning it did not participate in yesterday's US rally at all. Size is bound by the 25% per-position notional cap (25,008 / 26,157 = 0.956 units), so 0.9 units leaves slippage buffer and puts risk at stop at ~141 USD, 0.14% of capital.

CLOSEGBPUSD

Closing at -0.56R (-31.84 USD, 0.03% of capital) because the mechanism behind the trade has inverted, even though the price-level stop has not been hit. The entire thesis was tactical USD strength expressed through the weakest major: GBP softer than EUR. That ranking has flipped. On 24h GBPUSD is -0.094% versus EURUSD -0.127%; on the session GBP is +0.106% versus EUR -0.027%; on 1h GBP +0.044% versus EUR -0.023%. Cable is now the firmest leg, not the softest, so what remains is a naked short into a bid rather than the relative-value expression I underwrote. Momentum confirms the turn: 1h RSI is 53.98 versus 39.55 five reviews ago, and the last two hourly candles (07:00Z close 1.34367, 08:00Z open 1.34371 and close 1.34427 on its own high) are the first sustained closes above the 1h SMA20 at 1.34311 — the descending resistance I cited in six consecutive reviews as the shape of the continuation. The flat base at the lows is gone. What is left of the structural case is thin: the 1h SMA50 at 1.34493 sits 6 pips above spot, and the stop at 1.3458 is now only 1.58x the 1h ATR (0.00095) away versus 3.3x at entry, so one ordinary hour resolves this either way, while the remaining 73 pips to the 1.3370 target require a fresh downtrend the tape is no longer supplying. Holding into JOLTS at 14:00Z (7.44M f/c vs 7.59M prior) with a broken premise, a stop one ATR overhead, and VIX at 15.8 in a risk-on tape that is structurally dollar-negative would be defending the position rather than the reasoning. My own prior review named 1.3448 as the level at which I close rather than wait for 1.3458; spot is 1.3443 and the relative-strength case died before the level did. Cost of being wrong here is 32 USD realised versus 56 USD at the stop. Flat is the correct exposure.

HOLDGBPUSD

No named invalidation has fired, but this is the first review where the premise has visibly weakened and I mark that honestly. Live 1.3437 vs entry 1.34267 = -21.04 USD, -0.37R. The 07:00Z candle (open 1.34311, high 1.34391, close 1.34367) is the first hour of this trade to close above the 1h SMA20 at 1.34322 — the descending resistance I cited as the continuation shape in five prior reviews — and 1h RSI has snapped 39.55 to 49.62. The GBP-is-the-softer-leg edge has narrowed to -0.187% vs EURUSD -0.138% on 24h. That is degradation, not invalidation. The two structural walls that define the trade are untouched: 1h SMA50 1.34494 and 1d SMA50 1.34581 both sit above spot; no hourly close is near 1.3455 (highest 1.34367, 18 pips clear); EURUSD 1.1514 has not reclaimed 1.1523 and still sits under its own 1h SMA50 1.15195; the 10Y at 4.686 is nowhere near the 4.60 carry trigger. The bounce is running into the cluster I sold, not away from it, so closing here realises a loss precisely at the level where the short is meant to be tested. Arithmetic supports waiting: 21 pips of remaining risk (2.2x the 1h ATR of 0.00095) against 67 pips to a 1.3370 target sitting just above the 1d SMA200 at 1.33719, with last week's 1.3273-1.3506 range only ~30% retraced. Total risk at stop is $56, 0.056% of capital. The real exposure I am carrying is regime, not level: VIX 15.70 and a broad equity melt-up are normally dollar-negative, and if that persists through the US session this short dies by drift rather than by a spike. JOLTS at 14:00Z is the decision point — a soft print pushing cable through 1.3448 closes this rather than waiting for 1.3458. I decline to tighten: any stop inside 1.3448 sits within one 1h ATR of spot and hands a routine wick a trade whose structural premise is intact. Stop stays 1.3458, target 1.3370.

HOLDGBPUSD

Premise intact, no invalidation fired, position marginally green. Live 1.3425 vs entry 1.34267 = +0.57 USD, +0.01R - a rounding error against the 1h ATR of 0.00096, i.e. Asia noise. All three named invalidation conditions unfired: (1) no hourly close near 1.3455 - the last four closes are 1.34280, 1.34273, 1.34268, 1.34252, a stair-step lower into the 1.34203 session low on the current hour, continuation rather than the flat base breaking upward; highest close since entry 1.34336, ~21 pips clear of the trigger. (2) EURUSD 1.1510 has not reclaimed 1.1523 and stays under its own 1h SMA20 1.15158 and SMA50 1.15196, so this remains broad USD firmness with GBP the softer leg (-0.385% vs -0.265% on 24h). (3) The 10Y at 4.686 is nowhere near the 4.60 carry trigger, above its 50d 4.535 and 200d 4.288. The overhead cluster keeps compressing onto price rather than lifting away - 1h SMA20 1.34438/1.34398/1.34380/1.34366/1.34353 across five reviews, 1h SMA50 1.34534/1.34520/1.34513/1.34507/1.34501, 1d SMA50 unchanged 1.34581 - and the stop sits just beyond the last of those means. Momentum resumed rather than merely cooled: 1h RSI 39.55 vs 40.56 last review; 1d RSI 39.64 with room before oversold. Against it: the 36-pip prior-day range shows a coiled, low-conviction tape, and JOLTS at 14:00Z (7.44M f/c vs 7.59M prior) is a two-way event - a soft print sending cable through 1.3448 closes this rather than waiting for 1.3458. I decline to tighten: at +0.01R there is no gain worth protecting and a stop near 1.3440 would sit inside one 1h ATR of spot. Stop stays 1.3458, target 1.3370 above the 1d SMA200 at 1.33719; last week's 1.3273-1.3506 range is only ~35% retraced. I also decline to open EURUSD, the only other eligible instrument: 1h RSI 44.34, on its means, no edge, and it would double the USD factor already carried here.

HOLDGBPUSD

Premise intact, no invalidation fired, position flat. Live 1.3427 vs entry 1.34267 = -3.03 USD, -0.05R, a fraction of the 1h ATR (0.00098) — Asia noise, not information. All three named invalidation conditions unfired: (1) no hourly close near 1.3455 — the last four closes are 1.34284, 1.34280, 1.34273, 1.34268, a descending flat base pinned at the lows of the distribution I sold, with the 1.34194 session low untested and the highest close since entry 1.34336 some 21 pips clear of the trigger; (2) EURUSD 1.1513 has not reclaimed 1.1523 and still sits under its own 1h SMA20 1.15166 and SMA50 1.15197, so this remains broad USD firmness with GBP the softer leg (-0.34% vs -0.22% on 24h); (3) the 10Y at 4.686 is nowhere near the 4.60 carry trigger, holding above its 50d 4.535 and 200d 4.289. The overhead cluster keeps compressing onto price rather than lifting away — 1h SMA20 1.34438 to 1.34398 to 1.34380 to 1.34366 across four reviews, 1h SMA50 1.34534 to 1.34520 to 1.34513 to 1.34507, 1d SMA50 unchanged at 1.34581. Resistance descending into spot is the shape a continuation takes, and the stop sits just beyond the last of those means where it belongs. Honest mark against: 1h RSI 40.56 is flat versus 40.88 last review and up from 38.52 three reviews ago, so downside momentum has cooled, and a 36-pip prior-day range says neither side has control. Cooling is not reversing: 1d RSI 39.64 has room before oversold, last week's 1.3273-1.3506 range is only ~34% retraced, and the 1d SMA200 at 1.33719 sits directly beneath the 1.3370 target as the magnet. I decline to tighten — at -0.05R there is no gain to protect and a stop near 1.3440 would sit inside one 1h ATR of spot. Stop stays 1.3458, target 1.3370, horizon through the US session and JOLTS. I also decline to open EURUSD, the only other eligible instrument: 1h RSI 46.48, sitting on its own means, a 5-pip prior-day range, no edge, and it would merely double the USD factor already carried here.

HOLDGBPUSD

Premise intact, no invalidation fired, position effectively flat. Live 1.3427 vs entry 1.34267 = -3.03 USD, -0.05R, a fraction of the 1h ATR (0.00103) — Asia noise, not information. All three named invalidation conditions unfired: (1) no hourly close near 1.3455 — highest close since entry 1.34336, last four are 1.34244, 1.34284, 1.34280, 1.34273, a flat base pinned at the lows of the distribution I sold into, with the 1.34199 low from 01:00Z unretested; (2) EURUSD 1.1511 has not reclaimed 1.1523 and sits under its own 1h SMA20 1.15173 and SMA50 1.15199, so this is still broad USD firmness with GBP the softer leg (-0.30% vs -0.20% on 24h); (3) the 10Y at 4.686 is nowhere near the 4.60 carry trigger, above its 50d 4.535 and 200d 4.289. The overhead cluster keeps compressing onto price rather than lifting away: 1h SMA20 1.34438 to 1.34398 to 1.34380 across three reviews, 1h SMA50 1.34534 to 1.34520 to 1.34513, 1d SMA50 unchanged 1.34581. Descending resistance into spot is the shape a continuation takes. Honest mark against: 1h RSI 40.88 is flat versus 41.29 last review, up from 38.52 two reviews ago — downside momentum has cooled and the 36-pip prior-day range says neither side has control. Cooling is not reversing: 1d RSI 39.64 has room before oversold, last week's 1.3273-1.3506 range is only ~34% retraced, and the 1d SMA200 at 1.33719 sits directly beneath the 1.3370 target as the magnet. I decline to tighten — at -0.05R there is no gain to protect, and a stop near 1.3440 would sit inside one 1h ATR of spot, letting a routine wick kill an intact thesis. Stop stays 1.3458, target 1.3370, horizon through the US session and JOLTS. I also decline to open EURUSD, the only other eligible instrument: on its own means, 5-pip prior-day range, 1h RSI 45.25, no edge, and it would merely double the USD factor already carried here.

HOLDGBPUSD

Premise intact, none of the three named invalidation conditions has fired, and the position is flat in PnL terms. Live 1.3428 vs entry 1.34267 = -4.83 USD, -0.09R, which is well inside a single 1h ATR of 0.00106 and is Asia-session noise, not information. Structure still stacked overhead and, importantly, compressing downward onto price rather than lifting away from it: 1h SMA20 has fallen from 1.34438 at last review to 1.34398, 1h SMA50 from 1.34534 to 1.34520, 1d SMA50 unchanged at 1.34581. Resistance descending into spot is the shape a continuation takes; the stop at 1.3458 sits just beyond the last of those means where it belongs. The last three hourly closes are 1.34244, 1.34284, 1.34280 — a flat base pinned at the lows of the distribution I sold into, with the 1.34199 low from the 01:00Z candle unretested and unbroken. No hourly close has come near 1.3455 (highest since entry 1.34336, some 21 pips clear). EURUSD at 1.1511 has not reclaimed 1.1523 and remains under its own 1h SMA20 1.15182 and SMA50 1.15202, so the move is still broad USD firmness with GBP the softer leg (-0.32% vs -0.20% on 24h). The 10Y at 4.686 is nowhere near my 4.60 carry-support trigger and holds above its 50d 4.535 and 200d 4.289 even after the -5.9bp day. Honest mark against: 1h RSI is 41.29, flat versus 41.30 last review and up from 38.52 two reviews ago — downside momentum has cooled and the tape is coiling rather than trending. Cooling is not reversing; 1d RSI 39.64 still has room before oversold, last week's 1.3273-1.3506 range is only ~34% retraced, and the 1d SMA200 at 1.33719 sits directly under my 1.3370 target as the magnet. I decline to tighten. At -0.09R there is no gain to protect, and pulling the stop toward 1.3440 would place it inside one 1h ATR of spot, letting a routine wick kill a trade whose thesis is untouched. Stop stays 1.3458, target 1.3370, horizon through the US session and JOLTS.

HOLDGBPUSD

Premise intact, no invalidation fired, and the mark-to-market wobble is not information. Live 1.3428 vs entry 1.34267 = -4.83 USD, -0.09R (the stored +2.37 is drift; I treat the live mark as authoritative). That is a fraction of the 1h ATR of 0.00114, normal Asia-session noise. The structure is unchanged and still stacked overhead: 1h SMA20 1.34438, 1h SMA50 1.34534, 1d SMA50 1.34581 all above spot, with the stop at 1.3458 just beyond the last of them where it belongs. The 01:00Z candle opened 1.34232, wicked to 1.34199 - a new low for the sequence, below the 00:00Z low of 1.34244 - then closed 1.34284. Sellers extended the low and buyers could only drag it back mid-range: a flat base at the lows, not a reversal. My three named invalidation conditions are unfired. No hourly close above 1.3455 (highest close since entry 1.34284, 27 pips clear). EURUSD has not reclaimed 1.1523 - it is 1.1515, still under its own 1h SMA20 1.15206 and SMA50 1.15209. The 10Y at 4.686 is nowhere near 4.60, holding above its 50d 4.535 and 200d 4.289, so carry support persists. GBP remains the softer leg of the dollar bid at -0.34% on 24h versus EURUSD -0.17%. One honest mark against the trade: 1h RSI has ticked up from 38.52 at last review to 41.30, so immediate downside momentum has cooled. Cooling is not reversing - 1d RSI 39.64 still has room before oversold, and the daily structure holds with last week's 1.3273-1.3506 range only ~33% retraced and the 1d SMA200 at 1.33719 as the magnet just under my 1.3370 target. I again decline to tighten: at -0.09R there is no gain to protect, and pulling the stop toward 1.3440 would place it inside one 1h ATR of spot, letting a routine wick close a trade whose thesis is untouched. Stop stays 1.3458, target 1.3370. I also decline to add EURUSD, the only other fresh, open, tradable instrument: it sits on its own means at 1h RSI 47.86 with no edge, and it would merely double the USD factor already carried here.

HOLDGBPUSD

Thesis is one hour old and the tape has moved with it, not against it. Live 1.3424 vs entry 1.34267 = +2.37 USD, +0.04R - immaterial as PnL, but the structure that justified the entry has tightened rather than loosened. The 00:00Z hourly candle opened 1.34277, ranged to 1.34331, and closed 1.34244 on its own low: the lowest hourly close of the entire sequence I sold into, which is continuation, not the flat base reversing. The stacked resistance cluster is intact and now further overhead - 1h SMA20 1.34460, 1h SMA50 1.34541, 1d SMA50 1.34581 - all above price, with the stop at 1.3458 sitting just beyond the last of them where it belongs. Momentum confirms: 1h RSI has slipped from 39.88 at entry to 38.52, and 1d RSI 39.64 still has room before oversold. GBP remains the softer leg of the dollar bid (-0.47% on 24h vs EURUSD -0.32%), and the carry backdrop is unchanged with the 10Y at 4.686, above both its 50d 4.535 and 200d 4.288. None of my invalidation conditions have fired: no hourly close above 1.3455 (highest close since entry is 1.34275), EURUSD has not reclaimed 1.1523 (it is 1.1509, still below its own cluster), and the 10Y is nowhere near 4.60. I decline to tighten the stop. At +0.04R there is no gain to protect, and 1.3458 is not an arbitrary number - it is the level above the 1d SMA50 that makes the short wrong. Pulling it toward 1.3440 would place it inside the 1h ATR of 0.00098 and hand a routine Asia-session wick the power to close a trade whose premise is untouched; distance to stop is 2.98x 1h ATR and that is the correct amount of room for a 1-3 day horizon. Target stays 1.3370 just above the 1d SMA200 at 1.33719. JOLTS at 14:00Z is 13 hours out and already written into the plan: a soft print that sends cable back through 1.3448 closes this rather than waiting for the stop.

OPENGBPUSD

No open positions after the ^SPX long was closed at 15:05Z for +1.48R, so this is a fresh engagement rather than an adjustment. Equity indices are all session-closed and stale this slot and therefore ineligible to open; CL.F, XAUUSD and USDJPY are flagged non-tradable; that leaves EURUSD and GBPUSD as the only fresh, open, tradable instruments. I take the single cleanest of the two rather than both, because they are the same USD factor and stacking them would concentrate rather than diversify. I decline to chase the closed equity tape into a reopen after a 1.3-1.8% vertical session.

CLOSE^SPX

Profit objective reached — taking it rather than renegotiating my own plan. Entry 7478.38, live 7577.56, +99.18 points on 3 units = +295.27 USD, 1.48R on 199.13 USD of risk, versus a stated target of 7575. The thesis played out exactly as written: the reclaim of the 1d SMA50 (7470.45) held, the first test at the prior week's high 7525.94 was cleared, and VIX confirmed by sinking to 15.74, below both its 50d (17.45) and 200d (18.66). Three reasons I close instead of trailing. First, the move is mechanically vertical and stretched: essentially all of it came in the single 13:30Z hour (7504.78 open to 7572.45 high), leaving 1h RSI 71.07 and price ~2% above the 1h SMA20 at 7430.37 — an extension I would not initiate into, so I should not synthetically re-enter by holding. Second, leadership is thin: NDQ carried the tape (+1.41%) yet remains 2.3% under its 1d SMA50 with 1d RSI 45.5, and the rally is not corroborated by FX, where USDJPY at 1d RSI 30.5 keeps a carry unwind live and gold is -1.07% on the session — this looks like a squeeze, and squeezes give back afternoon gains. Third, the practical alternative is worse than it appears: trailing to roughly 7525 would convert a locked 1.48R into a bet that a 32-minute-stale, overbought tape extends for five more hours, and my own invalidation framework was built around the 7420 structure that price has now left far behind, so there is no longer a stop level that is both meaningful and close. European cash shuts in 30 minutes, removing the confirmation that supported every hold today. Bank 1.48R, go flat, and look to re-engage on a pullback that holds the 1h SMA20 rather than defending a target already met.
