ProRealTime: analyse markets without confusing tool and advice

ProRealTime is a charting and analysis platform used for stocks, indices, Forex, futures or commodities depending on available feeds and brokers. This page provides a neutral checklist before adding it to a trading workflow.

What is ProRealTime used for?

The platform focuses on advanced charts, indicators, lists, alerts, ProScreener, ProBacktest and ProOrder automation depending on the enabled offer. Market access, fees, real-time data and execution depend on the broker or subscription selected.

Limits and caution

A screener, backtest or automated system does not guarantee any future outcome. Historical results can be misleading if costs, liquidity, slippage and changing market regimes are not included.

Common use cases

Multi-asset analysis

Build views across indices, stocks, Forex, futures or commodities with multiple timeframes.

Screening and alerts

Filter markets with technical criteria and trigger alerts that still need manual verification.

Prudent backtests

Test a historical idea while accounting for bias, costs, slippage, market regimes and over-optimisation.

Broker-connected orders

When execution is connected, confirm the exact instrument, order book, size, stop and live conditions.

Checklist before live use

  1. 1 Identify the exact contract: cash, CFD, future, stock, quote currency and exchange.
  2. 2 Check whether data is real time or delayed for the instrument monitored.
  3. 3 Calculate position size, maximum loss and risk/reward outside any automation.
  4. 4 Test in demo or on a limited scope before enabling connected execution.
  5. 5 Compare fees, spread, commissions, overnight, margin and restrictions with the official broker.
